Animals that mate for life include a seabird called a prion, French angel fish, pigeons, ospreys, prairie voles, coyotes, beavers, barn owls, golden eagles, red tailed hawks, black vultures, swans, condors, anglerfish, brolga cranes, Gibbon apes, termites and of course America’s much beloved bald eagle.
An amazing 90 percent of birds mate for life. This is impressive considering there are upwards of 10,000 species of birds. Philandering does take place among the monogamous species with exception of the California field mouse. Darwinists are unwilling to admit that the powerful sex drive in all species can take care of itself and the preservation of species. Using the same argument to answer mans failure at monogamy is a failure in itself…why? Unlike animals mankind is aware of the limited resources of the earth and the unlimited growth in the population. Simply stated, regardless of what species birds or mammals one thing remains universal. They never mate for life with those of the same gender. The much loved tropical pet fish known as the guppy (black molly) is noted for its ability to change its gender. In humans a sex change can never result in producing offspring. It can be argued that if civilization can ignore Father God it won’t matter much what Mother Nature has to say. Proverbs 14:12As hunters, we are used to attacks on our lifestyle from the animal-rights-vegetarian-vegan coalition. But an article by Matt Spencer in the Lowell Sun ("Give Bambi a shotgun, then hunting would be a fair fight," July 19) stating that hunting is worse than dogfighting was so mindboggling and utterly fraught with fallacies that we had to set the record straight.Hunting is worse. Hunting is deadly certain. In hunting, the bullet and arrow offer no TKOs. “You hunters don’t give a flying duck about protecting the wildlife. First of all, his claim that hunting is worse than dogfighting is absurd to anyone who has actually hunted a day in his or her life. Hunters are not. The taxes and license fees paid by hunters have generated funds to purchase millions of acres of public land and improve wildlife habitat. Since 1937, hunters have contributed more than $4 BILLION through the Pittman-Robertson Act for the benefit of all wildlife species. In 2007 alone, hunters and shooters contributed $233 million in Pittman-Robertson funds. Virtually all outdoor enthusiasts benefit from the excise tax dollars hunters pay on guns, ammunition and related equipment. Hunting keeps game populations in balance with their habitat. Hunting keeps overall game populations healthy and sustainable. For example, in 1900, whitetail deer populations in this country totaled 300,000. With the help of regulated hunting, wildlife management paid for by hunters, and an influx of Pittman-Robertson dollars, whitetail populations today number more than 20 million. Only 10 percent believe hunting should be illegal. Just ask Michael Vick.In yet another bulk animal die-off, 200 cows, deceased, were found on a Wisconsin farm. The National Wildlife Heath Center is examining the 200 deceased cows. Stockton, Wis., newspapers are reporting the dairy cultivator and officials say that there is "no reason to think that whatever killed the cows could kill humans, too." Mass cow die-off being examining There are several possibilities for what could have killed off the two hundred dairy cattle. Major animal "mortality events" are studied by the U.S. Geological Survey department called the National Wildlife Health Center. Animals dying lately in large groups The animal fatalities in bulk are not that unusual even though they have been in headlines from Romania to ID. Most often, it's trauma or disease at trigger for bulk animal die-offs, and sometimes the cause remains a mystery. Related Articles : Animal Articles Nature Articles

Street lighting is one of the largest items of expenditure for many cities around the world. Staying up-to-date with new developments and adopting solar lighting technology significantly reduces electricity costs and greenhouse emissions. You can use for parking lots, parks, highways, roads, airports, area lighting and many other public, private sites and military.
Residential solar energy has many uses. You can turn your sidewalks and garden paths with beautiful lights. You can turn your porch or garage with motion detectors to protect your home. Residential solar lighting comes in a variety of styles and colors match your decor and add elegance to your lighting needs. Commercial uses of solar energy are numerous and used in many major cities. You can find such lighting on signs for advertising and street signs. A parking and security lights are a popular commercial. Recreation facilities and parks to use solar energy lights illuminate responsible for benches, trails, parks skateboard, ramps and columns of basketball. They have no other bills of electricity, wiring outside the box, whether resistant to wind, are safe, mercury-free. One of the best solar lights are how easy it is to use, they have no moving parts making them virtually without maintenance. Another advantage to using solar energy is that LED bulbs will never burn out. As our dependence on traditional sources of energy become more expensive, solar energy is less expensive. The facts suggest that the solar lights are very beneficial for the our environment, home and businesses that produce using solar energy. If you want to advance efforts to clean up pollution in your community, then invest in Solar Lights. Solar Street Light is useful, safe and affordable for every home or business. The environmental benefits are huge. You can find a wild range of solar street light, solar lantern at affordable price at SolarCraft. Outdoor lighting systems and solar lighting solar garden come in a variety of styles, brightness and price ranges. They are investment that will pay for themselves and provide years of enjoyment and free safety. Baildon Housing Association is all set to unveil an eco-friendly development in Bradford. This new family housing project is the first of its kind in the city and the 3-bedroom homes are available for rent in Munby Street, Fairweather Green. The homes were built by The Accent Foundation based in Baildon and according to them; all buildings meet some of the Government’s strictest guidelines on reducing carbon emissions. Also, new heating technology that use pipes buried underground that extract heat from the earth and redistribute it to radiators and water heaters will reduce bills by almost three-quarters!
The Accent Foundation stated, “These are the first housing association homes in the city with features which mean they will be able to save huge amounts of money they will be able to save on household bills.” Under new Government guidelines, all new build homes in the UK must meet energy efficiency, water consumption and CO2 emission targets at a bare minimum and this new development has certainly been constructed with that in mind. The homes are constructed using timber frames that were highly insulated for superior heat retention. The houses also feature a special ventilation system that takes warm air from the bathroom and kitchen, uses it to heat fresh air from outside then distributes it to colder areas! Each home also incorporates double glazed windows with timber frames and under floor heating whilst 9 of the homes also feature a number of water saving technologies. The Accent Foundation is part of the Accent Group who specialise in property development. So far they have been responsible for the building of 19 thousand homes across England. The project not only meets new guidelines for eco-efficiency but provides new, high quality housing at affordable prices to rent in the region. As more and more Government guidelines come into play, let’s hope more high quality developments like this one pop get underway all over the UK! I have a friend who lives in Aspen, Colorado, USA. From her blog, I know that Aspen is such a special place, human and nature co-existence harmoniously, especially between human and animals. I’ll tell you several little stories to show that harmonious picture.
When they drive on the highway from aspen to another town, they always can see some deer run across the road, if you are lucky enough, maybe you can see a little fox running very happily on the bushes along the highway. Human, blue sky, green land, deer and fox, all of them make this world so beautiful. There are also so many chipmunks there, even in town. She told me that at the beginning of June, the mommy chipmunk has 4 baby chipmunks, and you can see them play outside the house, jump from one rock to another rock. And if your door is open, sometimes you’ll have a special guest, that’s host’s friend, but cute chipmunk. And there are bear in Aspen, you can see bear poop on the suburb, and all the trash can outside all have special links to lock up, because maybe some bear will come out to find food in the trash can at night, and the trash will kill the bear, so everybody there all know that they need to lock the trash can so the bear won’t get hurt. Human and nature share this beautiful world, so love nature means love yourself! A young person with a mobile phone against their ear may not feel the effects of certain foreign frequencies on their body. Nevertheless, these effects are still there. Children, with growing brains, nervous systems, immune systems, and thinner skulls, are more susceptible to low frequency radiation within the body. The long-term health effects are still under investigation, yet this is not stopping many cell phone companies from continuously targeting children with character image phones. The wireless industry, being increasingly competitive, markets these phones to children as young as 8 years old.
Parents like the idea of being in touch with their children at all times. I agree this is a legitimite safety precaution. Teenagers see cell phones as status symbols. However, what are the risks? Many doctors and scientists are worried about the biological changes that can occur from continuous cell phone use.Children are using cell phones at a younger age than any previous generation. They will be exposed over many years, and spend more time each day with phones against their heads, than ever before. I've heard that somechildren even sleep with their cell phones under their pillow, to allow them to get text messages or calls anytime. The problem is that these biological changes can cause many different reactions. Everyone's symptom is different, depending on their susceptibility and level of exposure. Short-term exposure can cause headaches, dizziness, lack of concentration, fatigue, compromise immune function, affect sleep, decrease the effectiveness of therapeutic drug treatment, and decrease mental and physical well-being. Long-term exposure can cause mutations, cancer, and degenerative brain diseases. Some people dismiss these concerns, looking at research that shows no reason for worry. Health Canada acknowledges potential cell phone effects in internal documents. However publicly, it has not commented. The Canadian Cellphone Association says on it's website that "overwhelming evidence in the scientific community…supports the conclusion that there is no demonstrated health risk". In contrast to this, many European countries have issued public warnings to parents. There have been warnings in Germany, France and Russia. In Britain, the health officials have been the most outspoken. They have told the wireless industry over and over to stop selling cell phones to children, and have publicly discouraged kids from using them for any non-essential calls. There have been no such public warnings here in Canada, or in the USA. Even though various studies, and the findings in my clinic, indicate biological effects, the World Health Organization has not informed the public of any proven health effects. They wish to continue studying the problem. Meanwhile, children are using cell phones at an exponential rate. Some telecom experts estimate that over half of the pre-teens in North America will regularly use a cell phone within the next few years. Another consideration is that the cell phone industry is relatively young in Canada, being approximately only 25 years old. Mobile telephones for the public were fairly rare, and they were mainly used by business people, during the first 10 years. It is only in the last 10 to 15 years that customers have been able to enjoy unlimited calling and texting, affordable monthly rates, and highly subsidized phones. Cellular telephones have become an important business and social need, and this leads to more time spent using these devices. Some researchers believe it will take many more years of study to determine the long-term health consequences. I believe we should err on the side of caution, and start protecting ourselves and our children NOW! Everything that we do, we leave a carbon footprint like leaving footprints on the sand. Whether we eat, play or drive, CO2 is produced in the process of breathing, burning your car fuel and even the cooking of your food. Each of us leave a certain amount of carbons and we should focus on lowering it.
Before starting, you should find online carbon calculators. They help you in figuring out how much carbon are you actually producing in your daily life. From that estimate, you can start on cutting out some of the activities that leave a big amount of carbon footprints. The first thing you can do is replacing the light bulbs with compact florescent ones that uses less energy. While you are at that, turn of all unnecessary electric appliances that is not used. If you need to constantly use that appliance, make sure it has a high energy rating which in turn will save you a lot in the long run. Another method to follow are the 3 R's, reduce, reuse and recycle. It will helps in reducing your general waste output which affects the greenhouse gas emissions. Do try to save water as they are a precious resource that everyone tends to forget. Drink tap water rather than buying bottled water. Whenever you can, try to substitute the power source with a renewable green energy like solar panels or wind turbine. Being less reliant on traditional power sources helps in reducing your carbon emission. You can even buy offsets to help reduce your carbon emission. Offsets are resources or projects that you can help fund that will help in reducing carbon emission globally. By following these steps, you may not necessarily reach full carbon neutrality but at the very least you will lower your carbon emission in a huge amount. I am going to get straight to the point, get yourself some sort of renewable green energy. You're killing the earth with all the CO2 emission car, fridge, computer and even your cell phone. How do other devices other than your car helps in polluting? They uses electric power which are mainly generated from power plant using fuel. Nuclear power plants and fossil fueled are the two major ones that pollute the most. It is not good because:
-They are not renewable. Once they run out, we're done for. -Fossil fueled power plants emits a lot of CO2 -Contributes to the green house effect which leads to global warming Now to avoid being dependable on these unclean energy without going back to the dark age, you should start using a renewable energy source, like the solar, wind and water. Water renewable energy is not easily accessible to get as solar and wind so I am gonna focus on those two. These energy have been around and it has only been recently people are starting to harvest them. The reason behind it is because the technology is starting to be cheap for household use. Previously a solar system to power your heater would cost a few thousand making it only the rich able to afford now. Now if you walk down your neighborhood, you can start noticing some of the houses have already started their own solar system or wind turbine. The most interesting fact is these solar system or wind turbine can be built right at your garage. There is not degree or previous experience needed to build one yourself. Just get yourself a DIY solar kit or DIY wind turbine. They would already include the necessary guides and even videos. What is needed on your part is to collect the materials and start building. You might start out small and build enough to charge your phone but it is a great achievement. It is a first step in keeping the pollution down. You may then slow build larger system and eventually be self sufficient in terms of power. Then if the whole neighborhood follows your footstep, then there will be less power need which directly lessen pollution from power plants because less usage. Another way to go is to sell those solar system. There will be people willing to buy them rather than making it themselves. This is your chance to start a little business. Profiting while reducing pollutions, it is a win win situation. If you are wanting an article on the eco-friendly benefits of solar power then you are out of luck because I would like to get straight to the facts. Making your own solar power will soon be the most beneficial decision of your lifetime. And I'm referring to to the extent that many people will have no choice but to make use of the benefits of solar power.
Everyone is well aware of the high dollar government bailout but to help pay back some of that debt, Obama's new 2010 budget included an incredibly costly cap-and-trade energy tax on oil, natural gas, and coal. Most are thinking that this energy tax could cost people more than $2 trillion over the short span of the following 8 years. And maybe worst of all, this energy tax is scheduled to run through the year 2050. If you really want to understand what this boils down to, bear in mind that the cost of home energy averages at around $112.32 per month at the moment. But you can expect the new energy tax to drive it up to an predicted $562.67. So the majority of us will be relying on the benefits of solar power because we can't pay for the additional $450 cost per month. President Obama knows the effect that this is going to have. This is basically a strategic shift to help level the playing field and give solar power a chance to compete with the monstrous coal, oil, and natural gas companies that are monopolizing the market. So think long and hard about these 3 benefits of solar power. #1 Benefit of Solar Power - It Can't Be Regulated The fact that solar power cannot be regulated is probably the most essential of all benefits. This means that the federal government is not able to tax the solar power that you produce yourself at home. #2 Benefit of Solar Power - It Doesn't Follow the Same Economic Laws as Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas As I’m sure you know, the costs of non-renewable energy such as coal, oil, and natural gas normally vary based on the law of supply and demand. So if the demand raises, so does the price. But the beauty of creating your own solar energy is that it is not a tradable commodity so it does not follow the same economic law. That is because solar power is so abundant that the supply will certainly not run dry. #3 Benefit of Solar Power - It's Free, Period Solar energy does not cost anything. Sure there is a expense associated with the materials you need to make use of solar power but the price of the power itself is free. But provided the new energy tax, the cost of a solar energy system will pale compared to the total cost of energy for years to come. What it boils down to is that solar power is the most plentiful, free, and economically secure energy source available. Furthermore you can include all of those lesser yet very valid benefits to the mix. But if you still do not see the light, then you can always look for a second or third job to help you make up for that extra $450 per month you can plan on spending. Hydro dam the energy of the future?
Hydro dam are one of the cleanest and cheapest renewable energy that is available to be produce at a large scale. They are able to produce more electricity than solar and wind and at a more stable rate. The carbon emission are low and there is no waste produced in the making. Beneath all that, there is a big price to be paid. Before, during and after the dam is built, nature are being being destroyed proportional to the size of the dam being built. There are also constant hazardous risk every moment the dam exist. Before the building of the dam First a location that is suitable for building a dam are in mountains and have a river running through it. There will exist an ecosystem such as a forest with animals and there will be some indigenous people living on that area. So before a dam would be built, the whole area would need to be cleared. Forest will be torn down till there is nothing but soil. This is to prevent a problem arising when the dam is build. By doing so, they are destroying a large part of nature. Even the fishes are not spared. Some species that require running water to breed and making a dam would destroy that breeding area Ecosystem that took years to be built are torn down while later being filled with water. Unique plants and wildlife perished. The indigenous people would need to be relocated else where. Their culture and way of life could not be sustained any longer. Sometimes the places they been relocated are far worse than where they used to live and they are not compensated for their lost. They would have to start all over again in the new land possibly with harsher conditions than before. When the dam is active The river would no longer exist but a man made lake of huge proportion would appear. With the still water conditions, it would an attractive places for diseases spreading insects to breed. People who live near the dam will face a great risk to their health. Since the dam are usually build in the mountains, there is also a risk of land slides occurring. The land would not be stable when there is a sudden build up of surrounding water rise up a few hundred or even thousand of kilometers above sea level. This is happened to the Vajont Dam in 1963 where around 2000 people died due to land slides. Restoring is harder than building The damage done takes longer restore. Ecology that was destroyed would take hundreds of years to rebuild and even then there is no telling it would be the same anymore. Even then, governments are still building dam to accommodate the industrial needs. Will we be able to find a replacement in time before we destroyed all of our rivers? Sustainable energy is one of the major concerns of many governments of today for the sole purpose of providing people with more affordable power and energy sources. Individuals are also doing their part in using sources of sustainable energy such as the use of solar panels, windmill generators, and HHO fuel run vehicles. Fuel reserves are in danger of shortage and this will continue because fossil fuel sources are not easily renewed and so the continuing prices of fuel products to somehow control the consumption of such. But the continuing increase in fuel prices have troubled and burdened business operations and productions that are passed on to consumers.
Researches and developments for cheaper power and energy have been found in sustainable energy sources such as the use of bio-fuels, wind and solar energy panels, and water fuel cells. Water will soon replace gas and this is something that excites everyone. Imagine the water powering up your car. That is going to be a total convenience to everyone. Inventors are on the move and the latest invention that hones the power of water for home and vehicles is the so called water fuel cell technology. Water is has been used to run grid power electricity in many country through hydroelectric dams and plants but it still proves to be every expensive. Water’s new role in this technology will redeem itself as the most important element the world has ever known. It won’t only support life as we know but it going to support machines as well from cars to home appliances. This is the ultimate source of sustainable energy that will benefit earth and its inhabitants tremendously. The use of the technology is also one remarkable step towards protecting Mother Nature –no harmful or toxic byproducts whatsoever. For environmental activists and lobbyists, this sustainable energy is the realization of their dreams for the people who deserve a friendlier environment. The abundant supply of renewable energies will save people from spending too much on the present sources of energies such as electricity and gas. However, the battle towards a better energy hungry world is just starting and it simply needs the support of everyone to win it. The solutions are clear and it is up to us to use it in our daily lives such as using natural solar or wind power sources. You can start making your own source of sustainable energy and it is not that difficult anymore because it the process has been simplified by many build-your-own kits that can be easily purchased from the internet. If you want to be a step ahead of other people who uses renewable energies in the homes, you can start making your own water fuel cell kit that can help you save on gas and can help you do your part in saving the environment. You can go online and search for “water fuel cell technology” or “turn water into fire”. Read articles about it, learn from it and support the technology. This is simply helping yourself and your children towards a better life and a friendlier environment. |
